A little about the modality:

Positional Release Therapy (PRT) and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) are effective manual approaches. PNF stretching is effective for targeting specific muscle groups to increase muscle strength and flexibility. These stretches are great to incorporate into any massage practice, and effects are felt immediately. Positional Release Techniques is based on the work of Osteopath Dr. Lawrence Jones from the 1950’s. He called it Strain/Counterstrain, and it is effective in relieving pain and tissue dysfunction. Both of these techniques can be practiced clothed or unclothed. The combination of these 2 modalities into a massage session is a definite winner for both the therapist and client.
