Saturday 9-6 pm & Sunday 9-6 pm

What you will learn in this course:
You will leave this course with:
• A full body Thai Massage sequence modified for the table, including safe stretching for your clients
• Reinforced principles of body mechanics
• The benefits of Acupressure and stretching
Thai for the table is a modality in itself, but you can also add these techniques into your existing style of practice. This provides a highly innovative understanding of the entire human being that is beneficial for both the client and practitioner.
A little about the modality:
Table Thai is a modification for what is normally performed on a mat on the floor. The client is clothed and there is no lotion or oils used. As a practitioner you will learn how to work in subtle ways that actually goes deeper into the body, “finding softness within the power.” Different qualities of touch bring different results. Although this is primarily a manual approach, it is also energetic. Practitioners utilize presence of mind, love, and compassion to bring healing.
Your instructor: Kelly Scott NCBTMB#451957-12
Kelly Scott has studied with various Thai teachers and styles for over a decade, including Thai herbal medicine, Chinese medicine, and Chi Nei Tsang. She’s learned so much from the Thai culture and is grateful to bring the beautiful culture and practice to the classroom. Her recent studies have been with a French Osteopathic teacher who is the founder of Oste-Thai. Oste-Thai has changed her practice, bringing more precision and awareness. She’s coined the phrase “finding the softness within the power” from this work. You can learn more about her on her website, www.dragonflythaiyoga.com.
